Berry Sauce

The first time I made this recipe was when my Mom and Father In Law came for a visit. I was making Belgium waffles and realized we had lots of fruit. So I thought why not try it. Let me just say how easy this recipe is to make and how YUMMY it is.

Supply List:

Strawberries

Blueberries

Raspberries

Maple syrup (optional)

Skillet or pan

Cheese cloth or mesh strainer

Bowl

Directions:

Place the berries in a skillet or pan and simmer on med-low.

They will liquefy as you cook them.

Simmer until you get the thickness you want. If you want the sauce sweeter, add maple syrup until it is sweet enough for you. Once done, strain in either the cheese cloth or the mesh strainer into a separate bowl.

Gently pushing the excess liquid into the pan again. This is your sauce.

Save the pulp and use it to make flavored pancakes, muffins, breads, or waffles.
