Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Here is a REALLY simple and OMFG amazing recipe that my kids LOVE! OK, who am I kidding??? I LOVE it too!!! They make them all the time by themselves. So the 4 year does not make them without supervision. But the 2 older do. Although there is always lots of sampling to make sure they got it right! Hey, you never know!

Since it is V-Day, I thought I would share it with you…

*WARNING*

MAKE MORE THEN WHAT YOU THINK YOU WILL NEED!

THIS IS A RECIPE THAT WILL NEED TO BE TASTE TESTED FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE….

A LOT!!!!

Who does not LOVE these incredible pieces of Heaven?

Supply List:

Strawberries

Chocolate chips

Oil

Microwave safe bowl

Something to stir with (We used a fork)

Plate

Parchment paper (Optional)

Directions:

Place chips in a microwave safe bowl.

Dark chocolate chips....
Dark chocolate chips….

Put a tiny amount of oil in the bowl. Little goes a VERY long way!

Mix the oil and the chips together.

Look how shiny!

Place in microwave for 30 sec intervals until chocolate is completely melted.

Round 2…

Using the stems of the strawberries, dip the strawberries into the chocolate until coated.

Allow excess chocolate to drip off.

Place on plate and or parchment paper.

Place in the fridge (if you can wait that long) to allow chocolate to set.

There you have it! I know REALLY complicated right????

So why do we spend serious $$ every year on buying these in the stores?
